It’s literally a heavy(ish) slab of stone! It’s comfortable to stand on, although it is noticeably chillier on the feet in winter, compared to a fluffy bath mat! I have it next the bath in place of a mat and it is, overall, so much better. It dries in next to no time, requires a quick mop over when cleaning the bathroom and unlike bath mats, I don’t need more than one because I don't need to run it through the washing machine and tumble drier. I like the cool and understated look of it too.

Easily absorbs, easy to clean

I bought this item because water was always running out of my shower compartment and all over the floor in the bathroom. I put this stone bath mat next to the exit of the shower and it is great in preventing leakages. Plus it does everything else that normal bath mat would do. highly recommended.

Just as described, really happy with it. Easy to keep clean and light weight. So much better than material bath mats with a lot less maintenance.

This is my first experience of using a stone bath mat. It's certainly strange at first, but I'm warming to it.As the mat is solid and can't be rolled, it arrives in a large, flat box, well protected with foam. It's quite heavy and substantial, and feels very robust. I'm not sure how it would cope with being dropped or hit, but I suspect it would hold up quite well. I was pleasantly surprised to find the mat comes with a rubber under-layer, to stop it sliding around. They even include a sheet of… sandpaper to remove any stubborn marks from the mat.The instructions recommend washing the mat down when you first get it, and I can highly recommend doing so, as there was a light powdery residue on mine. I'd also recommend airing it out for a day or so before placing it in your bathroom, as I noticed it had an unusual earthy smell when taken out of the box, and it lingered in my bathroom for a couple of days.It seems very odd at first to have a solid mat by the shower, but you do soon get used to it. I was impressed by how absorbent it is. When you step onto it with wet feet, it draws the moisture away quickly and isn't remotely slippery. It also dries out quite fast. It definitely feels more hygienic than having a fabric mat on the floor, and another big plus is that it doesn't hold onto hairs and dead skin. If you do get a dirty mark on it, you can wash or scrub it down. If there are any really stubborn surface marks, you can sand it off using the supplied sandpaper strip. I haven't has call to do that on mine yet.Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised by this mat. It's a little expensive, but once you consider that it will likely outlast several fabric mats, the price seems about fair.

packed carefully and it's so useful to absorb water that disappear so quick and easily to clean, I have experienced the water blog from my previous bathmat once and this one get rid of it tho

My old bath mat was lovely but started to smell after a few days, so thought I would give this a go.This is essentially a stone that goes on the floor. It is rigid and solid and feels weird. However it works incredibly!!! It is so absorbent and one minute it is soaking wet and then all of a sudden it is dry?! Where does the water go ??Overall I love it and will be getting another for my other bathroom. This is a game changer as you never need to clear or wash it. Its great.

I don’t know what kind of mat I was expecting, but certainly not one of such quality for the price!I was surprised by the weight and delighted that the stone grey was almost identical to my bathroom tiles, so blended in very well. Washing it down first, I did almost drop it taking it out of the bath, had it actually dropped, I’m pretty sure the weight would have damaged my floor tiles, so something to consider in future.It’s actually in situ at the moment as an entrance door mat in my hall, to …help keep the workmen’s boots off my new carpet when entering…have to say it’s working a treat, and the stains are coming off with a good wash down at the moment.
